Best Coffee Places in Tampa Florida

If you weren’t up to date lately, you might not know that Tampa is bursting with food and culture, especially great artisan coffee! The Tampa Bay area (Tampa, Saint Petersburg, Clearwater) has experienced unprecedented growth in the past five years. A new trendy café opens every few months in Tampa Bay, serving many home-roasted beans while others serve up the best roasts from around the country. Here are the Best Coffee Places in Tampa, Florida.

Buddy Brew Coffee

Buddy Brew Coffee has the rustic charm of a hole-in-the-wall café with the urban aesthetic of a New American-style brewery. As a specialty artisan roaster, Buddy Brew prepares the coffee to question the status quo. Coffee beans come from carefully selected growers around the world when they are high in flavor. Buddy Brew’s highly skilled and passionate baristas can turn every coffee into art and live up to a business motto.

Craft Kafe

No list of the best cafes in Tampa would be complete without hitting the Sunshine City: Craft Kafe in Saint Petersburg. Craft Kafe is the place to go for a coffee in Saint Petersburg. Maybe I’ll bring a friend with me out of town. It has a great rustic feel with existing wood furniture and dramatic lighting, making any coffee shop in Tampa Bay even more fun. Craft Kafe has a bakery that’s 100% gluten-free, but you wouldn’t know if they didn’t tell you (seriously, it’s the best!). Add to that incredibly knowledgeable staff, great coffee from the best roasters in the country (including Onyx Coffee Lab in Arkansas), and regular barista latte competitions. You’ve got a place every coffee fanatic will want to visit, as well as everyone who wants a great pie. Gluten-free. And the proof is in the dessert: Kraft Café is usually very busy, so it just opened a second location across town, and it’s one of the best cafes in Tampa Bay!

Caffeine Roasters

Caffeine opened a downtown Tampa Café in 2016, but the site’s recent expansion to include Kennedy and Armenia is what excites everyone. The Lithuanian team (led by Emilija Dadonaite) roasts their coffee at home (you can see the roaster in the cash register!). They have delicious food too (an aioli lemon egg sandwich to die for), and your Kennedy Boulevard location has a drive-through!
